Biography
Anca Ralescu obtained her bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Bucharest in 1972. Subsequently, she earned both her MA and PhD degrees in mathematics from Indiana University in 1981 and 1983, respectively. Currently, she serves as a professor of computer science within the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computing Systems at the University of Cincinnati. Her scholarly pursuits center around intelligent systems, encompassing machine learning, knowledge representation, brain-computer interface, and the management of uncertainty through probabilistic and fuzzy sets methodologies.
