Biography

Vladimir Getov serves as a professor specializing in distributed and high-performance computing at the University of Westminster, UK, where he also holds leadership roles as a research group leader and director of the postgraduate program. His professional journey encompasses both industrial research and academia. Following the completion of his PhD, Getov managed a project involving an IBM PC/XT-compatible computer in 1984 before relocating to England in 1989. With a noteworthy international collaboration and accomplishment record, he has made founding contributions to significant initiatives such as the PARKBENCH Committee, the Java Grande Forum, and the Open Grid Forum.
